Head Coach Required for Foothills Nordic Ski Club

Foothills Nordic Ski Club is Canada’s National Club Champion for both 2002 and 2003. Foothills is located in Calgary Alberta, and has been a development club for 40 years. Our commitment to athlete and coaching development has resulted in many National Team members and Canadian Champions. Our commitment is to excellence in skiing, through excellence in coaching.

Our drive for excellence provides a head coach with a very challenging job, exceptional support, and a strong opportunity for advancement. As Head Coach you will be responsible for 5 distinct development programs and 15 volunteer coaches. This includes lead responsibility for our High Performance group of 20 skiers, and on snow contribution to our Masters Training Group, Youth Training Group, and Racing Rabbit programs.

The job involves travel, long hours during the winter, weekend work, and the joy of dealing with a couple of hundred people who have a passion for skiing! If this prospect excites you we are interested!

Qualifications: FNSC has sponsored and successfully developed our last 2 head coaches through their Level 4 NCCP into National Team assignments. An individual with a desire to develop and advance in a coaching career is more important than specific coaching qualifications. We do require:
