Fortier, Freeman win Again in Silver Star

Justin Freeman (Team Rossignol) won for the second time this weekend, winning the 15km skate Continental Cup race in Silver Star, BC by over a minute, in a time of 40:50. Canadian Robin McKeever finished second, followed by George Grey in third. Canadians Donald Farley and Gordon Jewett finished fourth and fifth.

In the women's 15km skate race Amanda Fortier (Canadian National Team) also won for the second time this weekend, in a time of 46:30. The Canadians dominated the women's race for the second day, taking the top three spots. Jaime Fortier was second behind her sister, and Sara Renner was third. Americans Barb Jones and Sarah Konrad rounded out the top five.

The Canadian Olympic Team of Amanda Fortier, Sara Renner, Jaime Fortier, Milaine Theriault, Beckie Scott and Donald Farley travel to Salt Lake City tomorrow, to begin preparations for the Olympics.
