Freeman, Wagner End Season on Top

Kris Freeman picked up another win in the final event of the US spring series in Bolton Valley, Vermont yesterday in the 18km classic race. Freeman skied away from the competitiong to win by 26.6 seconds. David Chamberlain improved on his earlier performances of the week to finish second, followed by always consistent Andrew Johnson in third. Patrick Weaver finished 4th with Canadian George Grey in 5th.

The women's 12km classic race was won by Wendy Wagner, who has skied her way into better form during the week long spring series. Wagner picked up the win by a whopping 30.4 second margin over Aubrey Smith, who has been consistent throughout the spring races. Ekatrina Ivanova, who won the first race last weekend, finished third. Melissa Oram and Canadian Tasha Betcherman rounded out the top five.
