Bruce Jeffries Appointed New Cross Country Canada Chief Operation Officer

It was announced friday by Cross Country Canada (CCC) president Leopold Nadeau that Bruce Jeffries has accepted the position of Chief Operation Officer for CCC on a part-time and voluntary basis.

Bruce Jeffries has a passion for cross-country skiing and, through the later part of his impressive career in which he reached the reached the rank of major-general in the Canadian Army, has acted as Patron for biathlon in the Armed Forces. He retired in 2000 from his position as major-general, having served from 1997 to 2000 as Deputy Commander of Canada's Armed Forces.

The name Jeffries is well known to most Canadian ski fans. Bruce's son, Chris Jeffries, is a member of the Canadian National Ski Team. Mr. Jeffries will work from his home in the Gatineau region.
