Nighbor 32nd in stage 7 of Tour de Ski

After a few tough stages, Dave Nighbor showed once again that he definitely belongs racing with the world's elite.  Nighbor's finishing time of 1:01.37.9 in today's mass start 20km classic, put him 1:20.1 behind race winner, Odd-Bjoern Hjelmeset, of Norway.  With this 32nd place finish, Nighbor moves into 50th in the overall Tour de SKi classification.  Having opened the tour with his best ever World Cup finish of 37th, Nighbor, having improved upon that today, will be entering tomorrow's 8th and final stage looking to make up ground on those in front of him.

The final tour stage only stands at 9km for women and 10km for men, but includes the much mythologized "Hill Climb" atop the Alpe Cermis.  The hill alone confronts athletes with 425m of climbing.

Both Lukas Bauer of the Czech Republic and Virpi Kuitunen of Finland seem to be in control of their respective fields, with Bauer the most dominating thus far, holding a lead of nearly two minutes.
