Cooler Temperatures Enable Snow in Canmore

Last week, the Canmore NorAm races slated for the 22, 24 and 25th of November were postponed due to unseasonably warm temperatures. This warm weather created the inability to make artificial snow.  However, much cooler temperatures have now descended, allowing for the Canmore Nordic Centre to make use of their snowmaking capacity.

While natural snow coverage is still minimal, the volume of snow created thus far could easily cover a racing loop.  Cold temperatures and sunny skies are suggested for the rest of the week.

These pictures are from this afternoon, following at least two straight days of blowing snow.
