Great Early Season Skiing at Sunshine Village

Snow has been falling at Sunshine Village just outside of Banff, Alberta for the past few weeks and now over 3ft are on the ground. Rocky Mountain Racers (RMR) coach John Jacques has arranged to have a 5km loop groomed by the alpine resort a few days a week. Athletes met this morning at the base of the ski area and took a school bus up the access road to the lodge. Conditions were ideal, with nearly perfect mid-winter conditions on a very difficult hilly track, which is at about 2400m. RMR is planning more days of skiing at Sunshine next week.
