Sirius Consulting Sprints Return

Ottawa: The Sirius Consulting Group Sprints will take place Friday, February 15, 2002 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on York Street in the ByWard Market. The Sprints, part of the Keskinada Loppet taking place February 15 to 18th, are a unique event that brings the excitement of high speed, technically challenging cross-country ski racing to a spectator friendly venue. "After a year-long absence, the Keskinada Loppet is happy to be bringing back the Sprints event along with Sirius Consulting Group to the ByWard Market. The Market is an ideal location for this event and we look forward to a very promising 2002 edition of the Sirius Consulting Sprints," says Claude Laramee, President of the Keskinada Loppet.

"Sirius is excited about bringing the ski sprints back downtown to the Market. The atmosphere created for the race is that of an indoor track meet and is exciting and entertaining for participants and spectators alike. We know from our past experience that this event appeals to a range of skiers from local recreational athletes to Canadian national team members and international competitors. Our sponsorship of the Sirius Sprints is a reflection of our sense of obligation of giving back to the community in which we have been successful", says Ken Parker, President and CEO of Sirius.

This is the fourth year that Sirius has been the title sponsor of the Sprints. Sirius is a privately held IT consulting company with offices in the May Building at One York Street. Sirius was founded in 1995 and currently employs over 130 employees and contract consultants. Sirius invites you to sign up for the sprints or relays or to just come out and watch one of Ottawa's most exciting sporting events.
