Elofsson Wins Test Race

Sweden’s leading cross country skier, Per Elofsson, won a domestic test race in Kiruna on Tuesday, reports skidsport.com.

Sweden’s head coach, Magnar Dalen, says that the race was more like a hard interval session and that it is difficult to compare how well the athletes performed.

Separately, VG reports that the Swedish cross-country team got a completely unexpected doping control visit from WADA on Monday.

The skiers were happy with the tests and say the WADA team was completely professional.

Several Swedish skiers and athletes have even signed a document stating they would be willing to take lie detector tests in order to avoid doping charges.
