A XC-Ski Training Camp in Brazil ?!?

… so the Snow Sports Federation of Brazil (CBDN) organized a Roller Ski Camp in Brazil…

24 athletes met in São Carlos (240 km North West of São Paulo) last Weekend where palm trees and beautiful roads without traffic were waiting for them…

… after a few stability exercises simulating skating technique to warm up the muscles, Pedro and Gabriela were anxious to try the Roller Skis…

…the skiers with yellow jerseys are members of a Roller Skating Racing Team managed by professor Tuca Reichert (…some of these kids grew up in Favelas !) so they were quickly at ease on their skis without poles…

…once they were stable on their skis, we provided poles to some of them…

…but in Brazil, it is more probable to cross a tattoo along the road then…

… a ski shop to buy extra poles, so the father of Maria-Clara made a pair using branches…

A Rollerski Training Camp is quite a unique event in Brazil so the national TV did not miss out on this opportunity to conduct live interviews…
